A beautiful artisanal handcrafted porcelain Dragon ware tea set. This set features a moriage dragon design. Created from slip and applied around the body of the cup, the eye-catching dragon is hand-painted in a gorgeous blue, back, and grey with hints of pink and brown trim. The interior of the tea pot, sugar dish, creamer dish, and the cups have a beautiful iridescent luster coloring. This set is from Japan and is marked at the bottom in red with the initials RS, made in Japan. It is estimated to be from around the 1920s-1930s.
In great condition for it age, no chips or cracks. The lids on the teapot and sugar dish have small areas of missing paint and one saucer has a small area of missing paint. (see pictures)
